El pasado siete de julio se celebró el Día del Árbol, fecha que, desde 1959, se decretó como día oficial, con el gran propósito de concientizar a la humanidad acerca del cuidado e importancia de los bosques en el mundo. El festejo tuvo lugar en el Puente Infonavit, sobre el Rio Pitillal, y conminó a todos los ciudadanos a adoptar un árbol, para así  lograr un Puerto Vallarta más verde. Además del simbólico festejo, se disfrutó de un refrigerio con el que chicos y grandes gozaron de un domingo en familia y amigos, contribuyendo con su presencia en este maravilloso proyecto para reforestar la ciudad.

Puerto Vallarta Celebrates Tree Day
Tree day was celebrated on July 7th. Since 1959, this date has been decreed as the official day and its global purpose is to raise the level of people’s consciousness concerning the importance of our forests and taking care of them. The festivities took place at the Infonavit Bridge across the Coapinole River. It called on all citizens to adopt a tree, in order to achieve a greener Puerto Vallarta. Furthermore to the symbolic celebration, people enjoyed light refreshments and thus both young and old spent a pleasant Sunday amongst family and friends, contributing with their presence to this terrific project to reforest the city.
