Celebran en Casa Velas el cambio de mesa directiva de la Federación Mexicana de Golf

El hotel boutique Casa Velas fue un marco perfecto para la asamblea ordinaria del cambio de estafeta de la Federación Mexicana de Golf  (FMG). Ahora, Kahwagi releva en la presidencia a Fernando Ysita. Como parte de la ceremonia, se otorgó el premio especial a la trayectoria “Juan Antonio Estrada 2011” al Sr. Mauricio Urdaneta Ortiz, gran golfista Amateur, desarrollador de Campos de Golf, ex presidente de la FMG y un personaje que siempre se ha destacado por su apoyo incondicional al crecimiento del Golf mexicano. Por su parte, Jorge Kahwagi, al dirigirse a la asamblea, ya como presidente de la FMG, resaltó: “El golf es un deporte de ricos. Sí, de ricos en mente y espíritu; de gente que, con su incansable trabajo y unión, invierte en un noble deporte. De gente que se preocupa por elevar la práctica del Golf en México, que aman lo que hacen y que representan, dignamente, a todas las asociaciones y clubes”. A su vez, El Teniente Coronel, Alonso Pérez González, presidente de la Confederación Deportiva Mexicana (Codeme), tomó protesta a los titulares de la nueva mesa directiva, a quienes invitó a seguir “redoblando esfuerzos en pro del fomento a esta disciplina”, el más alto esfuerzo del espíritu deportivo . En cuanto a su opinión respecto de los desarrollos de Velas Resorts en destinos turísticos, como Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit, donde se da fuerte impulso a la práctica del Golf, respondió: “¡Extraordinarios! Es una pasión que tenemos que fomentar.”

The Casa Velas Boutique hotel was a perfect setting for the regular meeting of baton changing of the Mexican Golf Federation (FMG). Now Kahwagi relieved in the presidency, Fernando Ysita. As part of the ceremony the special prize “Juan Antonio Estrada 2011”,was awarded to Mr. Mauricio Ortiz Urdaneta, great amateur  golfer and golf course developer, former president of the FMG and a character who has always stood for his unconditional support to the growth of the Golf of Mexico. Jorge Kahwagi, addressing the assembly as the president of FMG, remarked: “Golf is a sport for the rich. Yes, rich in mind and spirit, people who, with his tireless work and union, invests in a noble sport. People who care about raising the practice of golf in Mexico, who love what they do and they represent worthily, all associations and clubs. “In turn, the Lieutenant Colonel, Alonso Pérez González, president of the Mexican Sports Confederation (Codema), was sworn in to the holders of the new board of directors, whom he invited to do “further efforts towards the promotion of this discipline,” the highest effort of sportsmanship. As for his views about the  Velas Resorts developments in tourist destinations like Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit, where there is strong impetus to the practice of Golf, he said: “Extraordinary! It’s a passion that we have to encourage.“
