Una iluminación inusitadamente propicia se vivió al presenciar la revelación del mural denominado “Vendedores de Pescado” develado, por vez primera, en una sección del Malecón, por autoridades municipales, amigos cercanos y familiares del gran artista Manuel Lepe, el llamado “Vincent Van Gogh” de Puerto Vallarta, a decir de la señora Nelly de Barquet, quien oyó a un turista llamar al artista así, hace muchos años. ¡Mil y un gracias, maestro Lepe!

Manuel Lepe Mural 

The unveiling of the mural called “Fish Vendors” was accompanied by a beautiful sunset. Municipal authorities, family members and close friends of the great artist Manuel Lepe, the so-called “Vincent Van Gogh” of Puerto Vallarta, were present at this first disclosure along a section of the Malecon (boardwalk). Mrs. Nelly Barquet shared the story of how many years ago a tourist gave Lepe this name.
