El pasado 17 y 18 de mayo, estudiantes de 4º grado de los grupos A y B de la Escuela Primaria 20 de Noviembre, padres de familia y maestra de cada grupo, visitaron el Museo de Arte Peter Gray y el Reptilario en el Centro Universitario de la Costa. La Dra. Gabriela Scartascini (Profesora de Humanidades en el CUC) fue la encargada de recibirlos y guiarlos en el recorrido, mostrándoles la pintura de Peter y de cómo el artista comenzó el museo. Los niños mostraron un gran entusiasmo por captar toda la información y la belleza del arte.

Como actividad les colocaron sobre el piso papel blanco, agua, colores, pinceles y papel de colores, invitándolos a realizar su propia creación artística. Después de un pequeño refrigerio, pasaron al reptilario donde les esperaba el biólogo Dr. Helios, ahí se les explicó sobre la vida del cocodrilo y como debía protegerse esta especie. Ésta visita se realizó del mismo modo con los niños del grupo B al siguiente día, obteniendo de igual manera un exitoso desempeño por parte de los alumnos.

Peter Gray Museum

On the 17th and 18th of May, students from grade 4, groups A and B of the Elementary School 20 de Noviembre, parents and teachers of each group, visited the Peter Gray Museum of Art  and the reptilarium in the University Center Coast (CUC). Dr. Gabriela Scartascini (Professor of Humanities at CUC) was responsible for receiving and guiding them along the way, showing the Peter´s painting and how the artist started the museum.

The children showed great enthusiasm and captured all the information and the beauty of art. As an activity, paper, water colors, brushes and colored paper were placed on the white floor, inviting them to create their own art. After a snack, they went to the reptile house where they waited for the biologist Dr. Helios, here he explained the crocodile’s life and why this species should be protected. This visit took place the same way with the children in group B the next day, getting just as a successful performance by students.
