Este año, el Departamento de Arquitectura de la Universidad Iberoamericana otorgó el 12º Premio Gallo al Arquitecto Rafael Mijares Alcérreca, como reconocimiento a la indeleble huella de calidad académica que ha dejado en los alumnos y profesores de arquitectura de esta Universidad. Parte del grupo académico del departamento de arquitectura dirigió palabras de encomio al recién galardonado, además se tuvo el honor de escuchar el Arquitecto Mijares, quien nos deleitó con las anécdotas y enseñanzas con las que la búsqueda estética y funcional de su arte marcó su vida. Posteriormente, en compañía de familiares, amigos y colegas arquitectos, se finalizó la celebración con un majestuoso festín culinario. ¡Felicitaciones por tan prolífica trayectoria, Arquitecto Mijares!

This year, the Department of Architecture of the Universidad Iberoamericana awarded the12th Premio Gallo to the Architect Rafael Alcérreca Mijares, in recognition of the indelible mark of academic quality left to the students and teachers of architecture of this University. Part of the academic architecture department spoke words of praise directed to the newly awarded, plus they had the honor of hearing the Architect Mijares, who delighted them with stories and teachings with which the pursuit of aesthetic and functional art marked his life. Later the family, friends and fellow architects, ended  the event with a majestic culinary celebration feast. Congratulations on such a prolific career, Architect Mijares!
