“¡Ándale Bernardo!”, en honor de Puerto Vallarta
¡Ándale Bernardo! es la nueva pieza escultórica que forma parte del patrimonio cultural de Puerto Vallarta. Fue instalada en el Jardín Lázaro Cárdenas, gracias a la contribución del artista Jim Demetro, la Asociación de vecinos de la colonia Emiliano Zapata, principales patrocinadores, y el apoyo del Instituto Cultural del Puerto. Durante la ceremonia de develación se realizó un homenaje a los hombres del entonces Puerto Las Peñas, que inspiraron esta obra, a la par que de una figura tan emblemática como los burros, quienes ayudaron a construir los primeros pilares de esta ciudad turística, en ausencia de otros medios de transporte.

Andale Bernardo! It’s the new piece of sculpture that is part of the cultural heritage of Puerto Vallarta. The Association of residents of the colonia Emiliano Zapata, main sponsors, and the support of the Cultural Institute of the port, the sculpture was installed in the Lázaro Cárdenas garden, thanks to the contribution of the artist Jim Demetro. During the unveiling ceremony a tribute was paid to the men of the then Puerto Las Peñas, that inspired this work, at the same time a figure as emblematic as a donkey, whom helped build the first pillars of this tourist city, in the absence of other means of transport.
