¡Estas elecciones todos a votar!
Estamos por  marcar, con nuestro voto, el destino de nuestro país y de nuestro municipio por los próximos  años. A través de él elegiremos, de manera libre, a nuestro próximo gobierno, como un acto sin el cual no es concebible la democracia. Se trata de un hecho personal, intencionado y consciente que no admite prórrogas u omisiones. Por eso, cuando elegimos no votar, perdemos el poder de ayudar a elegir representantes que cuiden nuestros derechos y velen por nuestro progreso.
Como todos los medios informativos y de comunicación en el país, realizamos una invitación abierta a todos los candidatos municipales para que dieran a conocer sus propuestas a través de nuestra revista. Algunos aceptaron y otros no. Aunque estamos muy cerca, falta mucho para lograr una auténtica confrontación de ideas entre los candidatos a puestos de elección popular, y mucho más para que los ciudadanos atiendan las propuestas y elijan sobre la base de un análisis propio de la realidad nacional. Sin embargo, hay signos de aliento en materia de ciudadanía: nos tocó participar en varios eventos y ser testigos de que Vallarta vive como nunca una efervescencia política; los partidos políticos quedaron atrás, para dar peso a los candidatos. Mas allá de los partidos políticos y sus intereses gremiales, ahora es importante para las personas conocer al candidato, saber quién es, cuál es su forma de vida, qué experiencia tiene, etcétera.
Por eso, aquí te presentamos una entrevista a cada candidato. Fue otorgada en exclusiva para THE VIP, por lo que tiene un enfoque humano y social que, esperamos, llene un poco el vacío que generó la carencia de foros de debate para conocer de cerca y a fondo propuestas concretas y el posible impacto hacia nuestra comunidad.
Y es que, en la arena política prelectoral, brillan por su ausencia sobre todo las cúpulas empresariales. No existe una participación activa en franca representación de sus agremiados. Seguimos con un activismo a nivel declarativo, y llevamos más de tres años con una representación empresarial virtual. Salvo por la CANIRAC, pareciera que en Vallarta la iniciativa privada no existe, las Cámaras se muestran aletargadas, apáticas, sin poder, ni ganas de hacer propicio un debate entre los candidatos que invite al voto reflexionado. Están perdiendo su gran oportunidad de liderazgo. Por eso, sea quien sea quien convoque a los candidatos a un debate, se llevará las palmas y podrá justificar la cuota de membrecía.
Pero, en medio de la apasionante contienda política, no queremos dejar pasar desapercibida una celebración tan importante como es el Día del Padre. A todos nuestros lectores que tienen la dicha de serlo, les deseamos en este día tan significativo, uno de los más plenos de su vida hasta ahora, lleno de amor y felicidad.
In this elections we all vote!
We are going to mark, with our vote, the destiny of our country and our municipality for the next few years. Through it, we will choose freely our next government, as an act without which democracy it is not conceivable. This is a personal, intentional, and aware fact that does not support extensions or omissions. That is why, when we choose not to vote, we lose the power to help elect representatives who care for our rights and to ensure our progress. As all the media and communication in the country, we did an open invitation to all municipal candidates to give their proposals through our magazine. Some accepted and others did not.
Although we are very close, there is still much to do to achieve a genuine confrontation of ideas among the candidates to popularly elected posts, and much more so that citizens address the proposals and choose on the basis of an analysis of the national reality. However, there are encouraging signs in the field of citizenship: we participated in various events and witnesses that Vallarta lives as never before, a political turmoil; political parties were left behind, to give importance to the candidates. Beyond political parties and trade union interests, now is important for people to know the candidate, knowing who is, what is his way of life, what experience has, and so on.
Therefore, here we present an interview to each candidate that was granted exclusively to THE V.I.P. with a human and social approach that, we hope, will fill a little the vacuum generated by the lack of discussion forums, to learn about and to fund specific proposals and the potential impact to our community. And the fact is that, in the pre-election political arena, the managerial liders “shone” with their absence. There is no active participation in representation of its members. We continue with an activism on a declarative level, and more than three years with a virtual business representation.
Except for the CANIRAC, looks like that in Vallarta the private initiative does not exist, the Chambers are lethargic, apathetic, without any power, nor desire to do a debate among the candidates to invite a reflected vote, it seems. They are losing their great leadership opportunity. Therefore, whoever summons the candidates to a debate, will make an achievement and justify the membership fee. But in the midst of this exciting political strife, we do not want to let pass unnoticed a celebration as important as it is Father’s day. To all our readers who have the joy of being one, we wish that this significant day, one of the most important ones, will be filled with love and happiness.
