Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit, sedes del Tianguis Turístico 2012
El Tianguis Turístico es una plataforma de negocios para nuestro país, pues ahí se promueven rutas nacionales ante agentes especializados del ámbito local e internacional, mediante la presentación del grandioso abanico multicultural que es México, poseedor de innumerables posibilidades y opciones en destinos, bien se trate de ciudades coloniales, metrópolis, pueblos mágicos o de destinos de playa…
De norte a sur, nunca se pierde el sabor y el espíritu del pueblo mexicano, cuya bondadosa abundancia de contrastes se encuentra en cada rincón de este vasto territorio. Desde que se dio a conocer la gran noticia de que los estados de Jalisco y Nayarit habíamos ganado la candidatura y de que seríamos la sede para la primera versión del Tianguis itinerante a realizarse en Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit, las buenas ideas y los proyectos para mejorar nuestros destinos salieron a relucir con gran entusiasmo. Se consolidaron importantes acuerdos signados por ambos estados, entre los que destaca el pacto de movilidad y la conurbación en los transportes públicos, un deseo añorado desde hace tiempo y que ahora, gracias al Tianguis, puede ser definitivo. Así también más vuelos, ya que 18 líneas aéreas apoyarán el Tianguis con tarifas preferenciales. Los datos proporcionados por SECTUR indican que, hasta el momento, la participación de empresas latinoamericanas ha crecido 30% con un registro de 500 compañías, lo que representa un 24% más de expositores en este suceso con respecto a su pasada edición y, con esto, se esperan más de 20 mil citas de negocios. Se espera también una cobertura de aproximadamente 200 periodistas nacionales y extranjeros, lo que de suyo implica una oportunidad de ofrecer una imagen del paraíso de Bahía de Banderas, puede rendir jugosos frutos para ambos estados en materia de turismo, si la organización local logra cumplir las expectativas de los participantes. Entre los eventos más esperados durante el Tianguis está el coctel de bienvenida, que se llevará a cabo en La Marina de la Cruz de Huanacaxtle, así como el Torneo de Golf, que contará con la participación de Lorena Ochoa y que se celebrará en 23 de marzo. Pero, ¿por qué Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit? Porque Puerto Vallarta y Riviera Nayarit lo tienen todo: son dos destinos con identidad propia y muy particular, donde se podrá encontrar selva, mar, montañas, cascadas, ríos, paisajes de ensueño, y todo lo que es posible admirar en el Pacífico mexicano. Y qué decir de su amplia infraestructura turística, que cuenta con hoteles de categorías Gran Turismo, Boutique hasta pequeños hostales, pero todos con una excelente oferta gastronómica, campos de golf, Spa de ensueño, actividades ecoturísticas, una profusión de atractivos que nos hacen competitivos frente a cualquier otro destino turístico de primer nivel.

Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit as Venue for the 2012 Tianguis Turistico
The Tianguis Turistico (travel industry trade show) is a business platform for our country, presenting national destinations to specialized local and international buyers. This exhibition promotes Mexico’s magnificent and diversified range of multiple possibilities and options of travel destinations, including colonial cities, metropolis, magical villages and beach destinations. The flavor and spirit of the Mexican people can be found in every corner of this huge and marvelous country. Since we received the wonderful news that the states of Jalisco and Nayarit together had won the candidacy and that for the first time a version of this itinerant trade show would take place in Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit, good ideas and projects to improve our destination have bubbled up with great enthusiasm. Important agreements were signed between the two States. One of the highlights is the convention on mobility and the conurbation of public transport. This has been on the wish list for a long time and now it might become a reality thanks to the Tianguis. In addition, there will be more flights, since 18 airlines support the trade show with discounted rates. Data provided by SECTUR (Secretary of Tourism) indicate that so far the participation of Latin American companies has grown by 30% with 500 businesses registered. Compared to last year’s edition this represents 24% more exhibitors, increasing the number of expected business appointments to over 20000. It is estimated that approximately 200 national as well as international journalists will cover the event. If handled appropriately this opportunity could yield many benefits for our destination if the local organizers will achieve the participants’ ´expectation. Among the most anticipated events during the Tianguis are the welcome cocktail carried out at the Marina of Cruz de Huanacaxtle and a golf tournament, held on March 23rd, which will include the participation of Lorena Ochoa.
