El cineasta Hugo Carrillo y Alberto Sosa ofrecieron una rueda de prensa para lanzar la convocatoria al primer Taller de Cine, el cual iniciará el 20 de febrero en el Hotel Puerto de Luna, los días lunes, miércoles y viernes, durante tres semanas. El primer módulo de una serie de cursos y talleres que ofrecerá Hugo Carrillo en esta escuela de Cine, la cual busca formar profesionistas en esta importante industria. Otro importante proyecto es buscar el posicionamiento de Vallarta como set cinematográfico atraves de su su empresa “La Catrina Films“, generando amplios beneficios para el sector turismo.
