Inauguran sala “Dr. Juan Luis Cifuentes Lemus” en CUCosta / "Dr. Juan Luis Cifuentes Lemus" hall inaugurated in CUCosta
La sala “Dr. Juan Luis Cifuentes Lemus” fue inaugurada por autoridades universitarias, en el vestíbulo del auditorio del mismo nombre, en reconocimiento a los 64 años de trayectoria del profesor investigador del Centro Universitario de la Costa (CUCosta). El nuevo espacio recopila los reconocimientos que se le han otorgado a Cifuentes Lemus a lo largo de su trayectoria académica, incluyendo los once doctorados Honoris causa por diversas instituciones de educación superior del País e instrumentos que él ha utilizado en su trabajo de investigación científica. El Rector del CUCosta, doctor Marco Antonio Cortés Guardado, precisó que la sala representa un testimonio del trabajo intelectual de quien es considerado uno de los pilares de la Biología en México. A la inauguración asistieron, además, el Vicerrector ejecutivo de la UdeG, doctor Miguel Ángel Navarro Navarro; la Secretario Administrativo del CUCosta, maestra Judith Araceli Saldate Márquez; autoridades estatales y municipales, así como la comunidad académica y estudiantil de esta Casa de Estudio.
The room «Dr. Juan Luis Cifuentes Lemus» was inaugurated by university authorities, in the lobby of the auditorium of the same name, in recognition for the 64 years of trajectory of the professor and researcher of the University Center of the Coast (CUCosta). The new space collects the awards that had been granted to Cifuentes Lemus along his academic career, including the eleven honorary doctorates by various institutions of higher education in the country and instruments that he had used in his work of scientific research. The Rector of the CUCosta, doctor Marco Antonio Cortés Guardado, said that the Hall represents a testimony of the intellectual work of who is considered one of the pillars of Biology in Mexico. The inauguration was also attended by the Executive Vice President of the UdeG, doctor Miguel Angel Navarro Navarro; the Administrative Secretary of the CUCosta, teacher Judith Araceli Saldate Márquez, state and municipal authorities, as well as the academic community and student of this house of study.
