Puerto Vallarta will have a new flight from North America. As part of its strategic growth, Southwest Airlines has announced eight new routes from key airports in the United States. Beginning June 6, 2026, the U.S. airline will launch a direct flight from Las Vegas to the Mexican destination.

Currently, Southwest flies to Puerto Vallarta from Denver, Houston, Orange County, Sacramento, Austin, and Phoenix. The new route from Las Vegas will have two weekly flights on Saturdays and Sundays on 162-passenger Boeing 737 aircraft, representing 1,296 monthly seats more to the destination. Added to the San Diego route – which will begin operations on March 5, 2026 – the airline will have seven direct routes to Puerto Vallarta next year.
