Dr. Sergio Hoyo
El Dr. Sergio Arturo Del Hoyo Galván nació en la Ciudad de Guadalajara el 21 de marzo de 1976. Llegó a Vallarta hace 7 años como Cirujano de base en el Seguro Social. Egresado de la Universidad de Guadalajara como especialista en Cirugía general por parte del Hospital Civil Nuevo de Guadalajara. Ha enfocado sus estudios y actualizaciones en Cirugía Laparoscopia y bariátrica, acreditando un curso avanzado en Cirugía de Obesidad y Metabólica en la Ciudad de Estrasburgo, Francia.
El Dr. del Hoyo se ha sentido complacido de ser parte del cuerpo catedrático del Centro Universitario de la Costa, en donde ha impartido la materia de Gastroenterología. A lo largo de sus 8 años de experiencia, se ha certificado por el Consejo Mexicano de Cirugía General, la Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía General y la Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía Endoscópica, además de asistir anualmente a los Congresos Nacionales en Cirugía general y de Cirugía Endoscópica.
Su labor consiste en diagnosticar a tiempo los principales problemas que asiste como: gastritis, apendicitis, colitis y la vesícula; además de los problemas de obesidad asistidos con técnicas innovadoras como la segmentación de estómago o las mangas gástricas.
“Para mí el acto quirúrgico representa mucha emoción y adrenalina. Nunca me vería haciendo otra cosa. Es sorprendente ver cómo un paciente desde una apendicitis o una hernia, al ser operado recobra su salud con la cirugía o incluso cuando hay pacientes en situación muy grave y a través de la cirugía pueden ser curados totalmente; es fabuloso y gratificante ver esa evolución”.
Dr. Sergio Arturo del Hoyo Galván was born in the city of Guadalajara on March 21st 1976. He came to Vallarta 7 years ago as a surgeon at the Social Insurance. A graduate of the University of Guadalajara as specialist in general surgery by the New Civil Hospital in Guadalajara. He has focused his studies and updates in laparoscopy and bariatric surgery, by crediting an advanced course in surgery for obesity and metabolic in the City of Strasbourg, France.
Dr. del Hoyo has been gratified to be part of the body of professors at the Centro Universitario de la Costa, where he has taught the subject of Gastroenterology. Throughout his 8 years of experience, has been certified by the Mexican Council for General Surgery, the Mexican Association of General Surgery and the Mexican Association of endoscopic surgery, in addition to attend annually the National Congresses in general surgery and endoscopic surgery.
His work consists in diagnosing on time the main problems that he attends such as: gastritis, appendicitis, colitis and the gallbladder; in addition to the problems of obesity assisted with innovative techniques such as segmentation of stomach or gastric sleeve.
